Gnomeo and Juliet (if you can't already tell) is a play on the story of Romeo and Juliet, but with gnomes. Not much more to say on that. Anyway, lets get on with it.
Plot Synopsis:
"Gnomeo and Juliet" is a story about two opposing gnome families who are constantly fighting. Of course, the two "star-crossed lovers" meet and learn their love is doomed. That's it really, all of its pretty much the same with Romeo and Juliet.
Problems/ Complaints:
This movie is a bit, well, lacking. I'm not really sure what it is, but I feel as if it needed more. There was so much room to make jokes in but, nope. Also, the story about the family about half way though needed more explanation.
Praise/ Commending:
This movie had fantastic music scenes and all of them fit in well. I'm not usually a Elton John fan, but it works here. Also the animation was really good too. The texture of each gnome looked like rock and the flamingo looked like actual plastic, with chipping paint at his beak/ mouth area.
Final Thoughts:
Really, this is a good movie overall. If you like animated movies like this as much as I do, you'll enjoy it.
